Billykirk began in a pawn shop in Santa Monica. As brothers Chris and Kirk stumbled across a rugged leather bracelet, they were determined to start a line of leather goods. Chris ditched his acting career and Kirk his coffee-shop job, and the two began hammering away.

Their natural authenticity drew plenty of attention. Before the Brooklyn, artisanal movement, Chris and Kirk had a vision of creating a brand that represented a philosophy of craftsmanship they weren't seeing on department store shelves.

The artistic, laid back quality of these two is evident in their hearty craftsmanship. The lines of the bags, and the simple sophistication of their line suggests an understated confidence, that quietly demands attention.
